Last week we started our first D.I.Y. Woow !! But did you like it and want more? No worries, these are just the beginnings.

So welcome back to the second D.I.Y. of this Christmas paper ornament.
Today, like last time, I would like to share with you a step by step D.I.Y of a Christmas ball that I reproduced from Pinterest. Like last time if you want you can find the original here or follow the steps below. Enjoy!
Level: Easy
Duration: 25min

What you need: (for 1 ornament)
- 2 sheets of A4 paper of identical or different colours (weight approximately 130 mg / m²)
- Rule
- pencil
- The scissors
- Liquid glue or hot glue gun
- 15 cm of string
- 2 pearls

Step 1:
For an ornament you need:
- 1 strip of 4cm x 50cm
- 2 strips of 3.5 cm x 40 cm
- 2 strips of 3cm x 30cm

Because your paper is not big enough, you will need to cut and stitch 2 pieces together to form 1 strip. Therefore, on your paper and using your ruler, draw as follows:
- 1 strip of 4cm x 26cm (it is 25cm + 1cm where to stick)
- 1 strip of 4cm x 25cm
- 2 strips of 3.5cm x 16cm (it is 15cm + 1cm where to stick)
- 2 strips of 3.5 cm x 15 cm
- 2 strips of 3cm x 30cm (the length of A4 paper).
Step 2:
With your scissors, cut each strip following the drawn lines.

Step 3:
Assemble the strips 2 by 2 according to their width by glueing them on the additional centimetre.
You will at the end obtain as needed 1 band of 4cm x 50cm, 2 bands of 3.5cm x 40cm, 2 bands of 3cm x 30cm

Step 4:
For each of the strips fold them in an accordion style (see photo), forming a mountain and valley fold along the entire length.
It's fine if the folding isn't exact, but try to keep it even.

Step 5:
Once all your strips are folded, glue each end of the strip to form a circle
Step 6:
Press the top of the circle inward to form a medallion, before glueing it. And repeat this step for each of your bands.

Tip: At this point, you need to maintain pressure with your finger as you add the glue.
As you can see in the picture, I first tried glueing with my liquid glue, but it didn't dry fast enough. So I needed the glue gun to secure them together.

Step 7:
Now is the time to layer it all up with your medallions with the smaller ones on top and bottom and the larger one in the middle. Fix everything with your glue gun.
Tip: If your paper is not plain but a design paper like me, don't forget to flip over the last medallion(s) to create a beautiful visual aesthetic once your ornament is hung on your Christmas tree.

Step 8:
This last step is about adding a bead and string at the top of your ball. And just a bread at the bottom. Fix everything with the hot glue.
Voila!

With this post I would like to show you that it is okay to reproduce what you see on the internet, you don't have to be shy because the idea is not yours originally ... But don't forget to mention your source when you share it!
